These are being heavily discounted because there is a small hairline crack that runs from the center hole to a surrounding dust port hole. It does not effect the performance and is still perfectly usable. Please see main listing gallery pictures for details. Regular units out until early February. This new router plate features about a 1 – 1/4 center opening to accept the standard PC style guide bushings and a ring of external mounting holes which forms multiple patterns to allow attachment to most popular routers including. Porter Cable: 100, 690, 890 series 7529, 8529. DeWalt: DW625, DW616, DW618. Bosch: 1617, 1618 series, 1619, 1619 EVS. Six additional holes are dispersed evenly around the center to provide an escape for routing debris. 1/4” thick solid plastic with 6-1/2” diameter. (Guide Bushing in main picture not included). Mounting holes are sometimes found below the factory sub-base that is adhered to the router base. This will need to be removed on some models in order to find the holes needed to mount the base!!! If you have a different model router than what is listed than you can still use this plate but you will need to drill and countersink your own holes. To do this simply center the base plate as you would normally when you are using a guide bushing and tape or clamp the base plate to the router base to keep it from moving around. Mark at least three holes from the top part of the router base or the old baseplate by inserting a small awl or nail into the screw holes and moving the marking device around the full area of the holes. Un-clamp or un-tape the base plate and remove it from the router base or old baseplate. Find the marked spots and drill the holes slightly larger than the s haft of the screws the provided screw but smaller than the heads. Th e holes are made larger than the s hafts on purpose so that you have some adjustment room when installing baseplate and centering the bushing. Then on the surface side countersink the holes so that the head of the screw falls below the surface. If you don’t have a countersink bit than you may be able to use a 3/8″ or 1/2″ drill bit depending on which of the two provided screws fit your router.
